Terms of Service

Welcome to Dishy. By using our app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About Dishy

Dishy is a food discovery and rating platform that lets users discover dishes, rate meals, and share food experiences. We operate at mydishy.app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dishy. By using our service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian consent.

3. Your account

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Providing accurate information when registering.

You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of abuse.

4. Content you post

When you submit reviews, ratings, photos, or other content to Dishy, you:

  • Retain ownership of your content.
  • Grant Dishy a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it within the platform.
  • Confirm the content is accurate and does not violate anyone else's rights.

We may remove content that violates these terms without notice.

5. Prohibited behaviour and zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Dishy. By using Dishy you agree that you will not post, upload, or send content that is objectionable, and that accounts which do so are removed.

You may not post, upload, share, or send:

  • Hate speech, slurs, or content attacking people on the basis of who they are.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of anyone.
  • Sexual content, nudity, or any sexualised content involving minors.
  • Graphic violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm or suicide.
  • Someone else’s personal or confidential information.
  • False, misleading, or defamatory reviews.
  • Content that is unlawful, or that promotes illegal activity.

You may also not:

  • Use Dishy for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse the platform.
  • Create fake accounts, impersonate anyone, or manipulate ratings.

6. How we enforce this

We enforce these rules in three ways:

  • We filter content before it is published. Review text, profile text, and every photo uploaded to Dishy are screened automatically before they go live, and content that breaches these terms is refused.
  • You can report anything, from inside the app. Reviews, accounts, and individual chat messages each have a Report action. Reports are anonymous to the person you report.
  • You can block anyone. Blocking hides that person’s content from you and stops them from contacting you or following you.

We review every report within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld we remove the offending content and, where warranted, suspend or permanently remove the account that posted it. We may act on content that breaches these terms whether or not it has been reported, and we do not have to give notice before doing so.

To report something outside the app, or to appeal a decision, email support@dishy.app.

7. Restaurant owners

If you register as a restaurant owner on Dishy, you agree to provide accurate information about your business and comply with additional terms provided during onboarding.

8. Intellectual property

All Dishy branding, design, and software are owned by us. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

Dishy is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Dishy.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may also delete your account at any time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Dishy after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in Dutch courts.
